Try booting the laptop from a bootable CD or DVD disc. You can use Windows installation CD, recovery disc, live Linux CD, etc... i am using hcl laptop and in my laptop the dvd drives icon is showing in the my computer but when i inser a cd/dvd the drive is not able to read the data what may be the problem is that i want to change the drive or change the i can do any adjustment

It’s hard to tell.
Try booting the laptop from a bootable CD or DVD disc. You can use Windows installation CD, recovery disc, live Linux CD, etc…
If the laptop will not start from a bootable CD/DVD, most likely you have a failed drive. In this case the drive has to be replaced.

Usually the keyboard is secured by a few screws on the bottom.

Usually there is only one screw securing CD/DVD drive on the bottom. Remove these screw and pull the CD/DVD drive from the laptop.
