There is a little black plastic part that secures the keyboard membrane
cable to the motherboard. I broke the one on my laptop as I was trying
to change the keyboard

Here’s what you can try:
1. Insert keyboard cable into connector on the motherboard.
2. Place the locking tab in place.
3. Secure everything with sticky tape.

i have a laptop to repair and is (HP dv5)AND I WANT TO REMOVE THE KEYBORAD what step will i take to remove it. please help.

pls if a keyboard key is stiff,4 example letter G is stiff what can i do ? on less u press it by force.

Probably something got stuck under the key.
1. Blow off the keyboard with air compressor (or canned air). This will removed dirt/dust collected under the keys.
2. If it doesn’t help. You can carefully remove the key cap and clean it up. After that install the key cap back on the keyboard. Again, be very careful.
